Natalia Kovalevskaya
Natalia is passionate about advancing cutting-edge science, technology and innovation in food and healthcare sectors. She has an interdisciplinary background focused on applied life sciences, finance and academia. From industry perspective, prior to joining MMyWorld team she was a senior portfolio manager responsible for healthcare venture capital, private equity and public equity investments, specifically, biotech, pharma, medtech, and for foodtech investments at an investment management firm. She has extensive experience advising early-stage biotech start-up founders on venture building and business development. Natalia started her career in London at Citi in global markets division moving on to VTB Capital, Mizuho and UBS investment banks. From an academic perspective, Natalia is conducting her PhD research at Imperial College London in Section for Nutrition Research, Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction, Faculty of Medicine and in affiliation with Imperial College Business School, Centre for Health Economics & Policy Innovation. Her thesis is on optimal models for school meals design and delivery for children living in conflict zones and other humanitarian emergencies. She also assists at the Department of Finance at Imperial College Business School in teaching MSc students Corporate Dealmaking, Investments and Portfolio Management and Corporate Finance. Natalia holds a BSc in Biochemistry from Imperial College London, an MSc Management with a concentration in the pharmaceutical industry from London School of Economics as well as an MEng in Food Engineering.
