Luca Monica
Luca Monica has an extensive background in the Food, Beverage, and Hospitality sectors. His career began in his family business in Varese, Italy in 1985, managing a hotel and opening two additional restaurants. Today, Luca collaborates with numerous significant international food businesses, guiding them as they establish themselves in different locations around the world. His role often involves sourcing top Italian and European suppliers, leveraging the extensive network of contacts and relationships he has built over his career. Recently, he worked with Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks, to open their first business in Italy and to strengthen their brand in Tokyo and Shanghai. In 2010, Luca was appointed CEO of Peck, the renowned gourmet store established in Milan in 1883. He successfully strategized the brand's expansion, opening multiple locations in Japan’s Takashimaya Department Stores, as well as throughout Asia, in Korea and the Philippines, and in North America, in Mexico. Prior to this role, he worked with the fine food distribution company Longino & Cardenal, supplying top-tier restaurants and luxury hotels in Italy and Europe with the finest quality products.
